        • Takako

Hello! My name is Takako, and I am the school manager at Smile Kids, where I also oversee school orientations. Encountering new people always brings me joy.

My enduring passion for English and working with children led me to obtain a certification in Early Childhood English Education. I am constantly exploring new teaching methods and discovering engaging children’s books. My primary goal is to assist children in developing their unique personalities, teaching them to value themselves, and building their confidence. I aim to make learning English an enjoyable and enriching experience!

        • Hello! I’m Bob, and I’m in charge of the kinder class.
My mother is an English teacher. She ran a private English preschool in Zambia for several years. I probably got the inspiration to teach English from her!
What makes me happy is when I see children overcoming their fear of using English. As such, I specialize in making kids comfortable as they learn.
My goal at Smile Kids International is to assist the children to develop in their English skills. I know that every child has the potential to learn and speak English confidently!
S.K.I is a place where children can be immersed in an English-friendly environment. So please come and meet us!

        • Hello! My name is Nana. I’m very happy to be back here at Smile Kids International, after working with students with intellectual/emotional disorders at public elementary and junior high schools for 8 years. I studied child psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno USA for 4 years, and after graduating, I stayed in Columbia, South Carolina for 2 years. I also taught younger children English at Abiko for more than 5 years. I really enjoyed my experience there. While interacting with various types of children, I learned how important the childhood environment is.
Here at, Smile Kids International, we want children to value their own individualities, feel secure and confident, and have a lot of fun. We also want the children to say “we did it!” “we can do it!,” with confidence! This will be a good chance for us to talk in English too! Let’s have fun learning English together!

I would like to show the children at Smile Kids how wonderful it is to be bilingual.  I am experienced in teaching English, especially phonics. I try to keep a perspective close to the children and want to teach them the joy of using English through play! Let’s have fun together!

        • Hi! I’m Saori!
I was born in Guam and raised in Hawaii. The first time I lived in Japan was when I decided to attend a Japanese university. After graduating I decided to pursue my education in England, and studied International Human Rights Law specializing in women and children’s rights. I’ve been teaching English to Japanese children for seven years, and this experience has made me a firm believer of giving pep talks, or encouraging children so that they can be more confident with themselves, and also with what they do.
At Smile Kids International, I would like to guide and cheer on the children so that each and everyone will be able to say “I can do it!” So let’s start having fun!
        • Hello, my name is Tomoko. After the birth of my eldest daughter, I became interested in community welfare. As such, I worked in the field of child welfare and welfare for the elderly. I first fell in love with English when I was in elementary school. One of my tutors at the time mixed English into her subject to make it fun! I enjoyed that and wanted to learn more English. I will commit to supporting the children at Smile Kids in their efforts to learn English in the same way I did when I was a child. We will all enjoy English together!

        • Hello, everyone! I am Kaoru!
After graduating from college, majoring in Child English Education, I worked at a cram school for 7 years, teaching children aged from 2 to 15 years old. When I was a student, I always wanted to go abroad and be able to speak English. Because I longed for the life I saw in American movies I studied abroad and did a homestay.
I studied to qualify as a kindergarten teacher in the U.S. and worked at a private kindergarten in L.A. California, utilizing my elementary school English teacher qualification as well.
Now I am here at Smile Kids International and I am very excited to teach English and learn together with joy! Every child has infinite potential. Let’s nurture a caring heart, rich in sensitivity through learning about Japan and different cultures in the world.
        • Hello! I’m Laila from Bangladesh. My love for children inspired me to pursue a degree in Child Development and Social Relationship from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Holding a Masters degree, I’ve gained extensive experience in working with children. Previously, I served for UNICEF as a Case Management Supervisor, providing psychological support to children and creating awareness among parents on proper child care and education.
